Convention 2019

Join us on August 15 (Trail End Dance), 16 and 17, 2019 for the 57^th Annual State Convention. We'll be at the Lansing Center, 333 E Michigan Ave Lansing, MI 48933.

What You Can Expect for 2019!

• Thursday August 15, 7:00-10:00 p.m. Trail End Dance: Don’t miss this special dance with Featured Callers: Bob Asp-Rockton, IL; Curt Braffet - Carlock, IL; Tom Manning - Burlington, IA; and

Featured Cuer: Amy Riehl - Salem, OH.

The Trail End dance is free with your registration or $10 per person if you are not registered.

Our featured callers and cuer will be with us all weekend!

• Friday 10:00 pm - 11:00 pm After Party (no dancing)

Five Halls of DANCING ...

• Mainstream Hall (Rooms 101-102): Mainstream, Line Dancing, Games, Contra, Duets

• Plus Hall (Ballrooms 1-4): Plus dancing with Phase II/III rounds each hour Friday & Saturday evenings, Competition Squares, High Energy Dancing, Duets

• Advanced/C1 Hall (Rooms 103-104)

• Lower Level Rounds (Ballrooms 5-6): Phase II-III, Teaches

• High Level Rounds (Ballrooms 7-8): Phase III-V, Showcase of Rounds, Teaches

Theme baskets have always been a highlight of our State Convention. This year’s format will be a raffle. All clubs, as well as individuals, are invited to create and donate a basket. Associations are encouraged to donate a basket with free dance passes for every club that is a member of their association. Please submit this form by August 1, 2019. Proceeds will be used toward the cost of wood dance floors in the halls for the convention.

Schedule

Thursday: Trail End Dance 7:00-10:00 p.m. (casual attire acceptable)

Friday: 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. (casual until 7:00 p.m.)

Friday: 10:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. After Party, no dancing

Saturday: 10:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. (casual until 6:30 p.m.)

Saturday: 10:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. After Party with dancing

Dance Registration

2 full days of dancing is only $40 per person. You'll find more information on the registration form. Youth under the age of 18 years may attend for free.
